Dear GRM Networks Customer,

Last week, GRM Networks hosted Fiber Field Day, a collaborative event of Missouri’s Smart Rural Community® (SRC) Providers. The event showcased all things fiber broadband and allowed attendees a firsthand look at what goes into constructing fiber networks. The day included fiber construction demonstrations, fiber splicing opportunities for attendees, and an Industry Information Showcase which highlighted topics such as cybersecurity, managed WiFi services, and customer installations.

In addition to GRM Networks, other participating SRC broadband providers included Chariton Valley Broadband of Macon; Green Hills Telephone Corporation of Breckenridge; Kingdom Telephone Company of Auxvasse; Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Company (NEMR) of Green City; and Steelville Telephone Exchange of Steelville. Events like Fiber Field Day help broadband providers like us illustrate the importance of connectivity in rural America. In turn this helps us secure funding to provide the best and most reliable fiber networks which spurs economic development.

I am driven by a strong belief that together we achieve more and through our cooperative efforts, Missouri’s Smart Rural Community Providers are deploying fiber in rural areas to connect Missourians. I am incredibly proud of this year’s Fiber Field Day; last week Missouri’s SRC providers had an opportunity for a moment to shine and demonstrate how we are doing our part to connect the Show Me State.
