GRM Networks Awards Six Scholarships to Area High School Seniors
Each year, GRM Networks offers six scholarships to area high school students in Missouri and Iowa through the GRM Networks Scholarship Program. GRM Networks has awarded a combined total of $8,000 in scholarships to six area high school students as part of the cooperative’s 2026 scholarship program. The recipients are:
- Lela Hartschen, Eagleville, Missouri, North Harrison R-3 High School – $2,000
- Alivia Rhoades, Lucerne, Missouri, Putnam County R-1 High School – $1,500
- Mylie Holtman, Ravenwood, Missouri, Jefferson C-123 High School – $1,500
- Megan Young, Leon, Iowa, Central Decatur Community School – $1,000
- Sari Rogers, Princeton, Missouri, North Mercer R-3 High School – $1,000
- Kinsley Allnutt, Galt, Missouri, Grundy County R-5 High School – $1,000


GRM Networks founded the scholarship program in 2016 to support area high school students who wish to further their education. Eligible applicants must be a graduating high school senior with at least a C grade point average, and must have a parent or legal guardian who is an active member of GRM Networks in good standing at the application deadline. Scholarship recipients will receive their award upon completion of their first semester and proof of maintaining a 2.0 grade point average.
GRM Networks Scholarship Program
GRM Networks will award up to $8,000 in scholarships, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000.
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be accepted by an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, trade school or other post-secondary institution
- Have an average grade of at least a “C” or a 2.0 grade point average on a four-point scale
- Have a parent or legal guardian who is an active GRM Networks member in good standing at the application deadline
Immediate family of GRM Networks employees or board members are not eligible to apply for the GRM Networks Scholarship Program. Immediate family members are: parents, siblings, children, spouse and grandchildren of an employee or board member, or the same relative of an employee or board member’s spouse.
Scholarship winners will be selected by a committee from the GRM Networks Board of Directors. Scholarships will be awarded on a one-time basis and are not renewable. Scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender or disability.
Winners will forfeit their scholarship if GRM Networks does not receive an unofficial transcript within 60 days of the end of the first semester of post-high school education, showing full-time student status and a minimum average grade of a “C” or a 2.0 grade point average on a four-point scale during the first semester. The first semester of post-high school education must be completed within one year of high school graduation. The unofficial transcript can be emailed to adavison@corp.grm.net or mailed to the address above.

FRS Scholarship Program
GRM Networks partners with NTCA’s Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to offer an annual college scholarship program to help further higher education among rural youth. Students that are family members of GRM Networks customers, board members and employees are eligible for FRS scholarships.
FRS awards several scholarships to students from rural America. GRM Networks sponsors the local applicants for the FRS Scholarships, and pays $500 of the award to any local winners. The parent or legal guardian of the student must be an active member of GRM Networks in good standing.

Aureon Scholarship Program
GRM Networks and SCC Networks are proud to partner with Aureon to make the Aureon Scholarship Program available to students in the Iowa GRM Networks and SCC Networks service area who plan to pursue STEM-related course of study after high school graduation. Students must live in a home with active service from an Iowa Independent Telecommunications Company, such as GRM Networks or SCC Networks.
The Aureon Scholarship Program will award a total of $10,000 in funds, with individual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.
Applicant eligibility and submission requirements are available on the Aureon website. Deadline for submission was March 1, 2026.
