Plume’s AI-driven technology anticipates and adjusts to the needs of home networks, which are constantly evolving as new devices and applications come online each day. Plume learns how devices behave and what they need to proactively allocate bandwidth for each connected device. Once you’re set up, enjoy a seamless experience for you, your family, and your guests.
Prioritize connectivity for a category of apps (gaming, streaming, video calls), a device or a specific person to be confident in your connection when you need it most. Home makes sure to always prioritize live traffic over network needs that can wait (like OS updates) so you can be confident your video call won’t drop. But for those times when you want the extra confidence, you can pick what to prioritize.

Protect devices from high-risk websites, unwanted ads, and cyber threats like spam and phishing. Plume Home monitors traffic to and from connected devices, proactively blocks known threats and even quarantines devices that start to show malicious, unusual behavior. When no one is home, Plume Home can prioritize the network for home security devices and applications like cameras or alarms.

What does Smart WiFi cost?

Smart WiFi is $10.00 per month, in addition to your internet subscription and equipment fee. Smart WiFi can be added to any GRM Networks residential internet subscription.

Does Smart WiFi require a contract?

Smart WiFi requires a six-month contract. Per the terms of the service agreement, if you decide to cancel Smart WiFi service before your six-month term is up, you will be required to pay a $25 Early Termination Fee.

What is the difference between your regular internet subscription and Smart WiFi with Home?

Your regular GRM Networks internet subscription includes the equipment necessary for standard service. If your home is larger or has certain structural qualities that block the WiFi signal, you may have “dead spots” where the WiFi signal is not as strong.

Smart WiFi includes the equipment and software to extend, adapt, and optimize your home’s network and devices. It also includes features such as enhanced security, parental and guest controls, and in-home motion sensing.

How do parental controls work?

Within the Home app, you can set usage limits, filter websites, and restrict types of content. You can also freeze WiFi for specific devices, or even for specific locations, such as your kids’ bedrooms.

How do I set up Home?

Is Home a mesh system?

Home is like a mesh system, but better because it adapts to your usage and self-optimizes. It runs more than 10 different types of improvements that work in the background 24/7, so you get fast and consistent WiFi to every corner of your home. For example, if a change occurs that would impact your WiFi performance, like an increase in connected devices or interference from a neighbor’s WiFi, Home will make the appropriate adjustments to maintain your WiFi experience.
