Fiber-to-the-Premise Construction Update
December 7, 2022
As 2022 draws to a close, we want to take a minute and reflect on the year’s successes. This year, we completed 410 miles of fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) construction bringing fiber connectivity to the Missouri exchanges of Bethany, Sheridan, Cainsville and Spickard. We have begun construction in the Missouri exchanges of Ridgeway and Gilman City.At the end of October, we were awarded a $15.7 million grant from the United States Department of Agriculture that will allow us to build fiber broadband internet access to the exchanges of Barnard, Brimson, Darlington, Jamesport, Mt. Moriah and Washington Center. All of these exchanges are located in Missouri and once this construction is completed, we will have fulfilled our pledge to provide all our customers access to fiber broadband internet. GRM Networks will be 100 percent fiber!Fiber construction is exciting and important. Our contractors and our employees should be commended on completing construction in these exchanges. We look forward to a busy 2023.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to fulfill our pledge to bring fiber to all customers. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and businesses to serve you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Bethany business office at 800-551-1930 or the Princeton business office at 800-451-2301.
Fiber-to-the-Premise Construction Update
August 1, 2022
For many of us our focus this month shifts to back to school, fairs, last minute vacations and the return of fall sports. Here at GRM Networks, our focus continues with our pledge to bring fiber to all customers. Crews are working to complete construction in the Spickard exchange while beginning cutovers in the rural Bethany exchange.Fiber-to-the-premise construction is underway in the exchanges of Sheridan and Cainsville, Missouri. Customers will see construction equipment moving along the roads in these exchanges. Contractors will be contacting customers about placing a new service drop to their home or business to replace the existing copper drop. The contractor working in the Sheridan exchange is North Missouri Construction from Chillicothe, Missouri, and the contractor working in the Cainsville exchange is H&D Underground from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. This cable construction should be completed in early fall and is one of the steps that must be completed before the fiber telephone and internet are functional.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to fulfill our pledge to bring fiber to all customers. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and businesses to serve you.
