Scheduled System Maintenance

Our upstream Internet provider has scheduled network maintenance on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from midnight to 5:00 a.m with a backup/alternate date of December 4.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

During this maintenance, you may experience interruptions in your Internet service and to your Kansas City local Skitter TV stations. All Skitter TV channels may be impacted for Lathrop area customers.

Thank you for your patience during this maintenance, which is necessary to support future growth of our network.

Scheduled Skitter System Maintenance

Skitter outage – Due to scheduled system maintenance, Skitter TV will experience an outage Thursday, December 3, 2020 between midnight and 5:00 am.

Video will be impacted for a short period during this maintenance window. The impact is not expected to be for a long duration.

During this time, Des Moines DMA customers will have a complete outage.  Kansas City DMA customers will only have access to local channels.

Skitter TV / Vizio TV Issue

September 18, 2020 – Skitter has informed us that they are aware of issues with Vizio TVs regarding an update that Vizio recently released. Once the TV is upgraded, the audio no longer works with the Skitter set-top boxes. At this time, they do not have a quick fix. They are working with the set-top box manufacturer for a possible fix and with Vizio to find out if it is possible to roll back the update.

Ridgeway Construction

August 7, 2020 – weather permitting, contractors working on behalf of GRM Networks will soon begin construction in Ridgeway for fiber-to-the-premise upgrades.

GRM Networks anticipates contractors to be in this area over the next several months. Throughout the construction process, GRM Networks strives to return all disturbed areas to their original condition. Please be aware it is unlawful to remove the utility markers required for construction.

Spickard Construction

August 28, 2020 – weather permitting, contractors working on behalf of GRM Networks will soon begin construction in the Spickard exchange for fiber-to-the-premise upgrades. Work will mainly take place in rural Spickard, but will eventually require some work in the city of Spickard as well.
